Passing is what Anderson County football does best.
The Mavericks, who advanced to the third round of the 2009 playoffs, lined up against some of the best talent in the state this week.
Anderson County traveled to Alcoa before facing Maryville High School Thursday on the road.

Tennessee high school football begins contact football this week and the Dragons of Clinton have wrapped up their passing league games.
“We’re ready to go,” Clinton head coach Andy Shattuck said. “Passing games are fun, but it’s time to get serious. Our first week will focus on conditioning. We got everything we wanted out of the passing scrimmages.”
