5th Annual Anderson County Sack Pack
Looking for a way to teach your children about giving back to the community and helping others? Well, here’s your chance! Starting April 8th to the 12th, the Anderson County Sack Pack will be taking place in Anderson County schools, benefitting Goodwill and its mission to provide vocational services to people with barriers to employment. Goodwill Industries-Knoxville, Inc., has partnered with the American Museum of Science and Energy, Keep America Beautiful of Anderson County, and Sonic Drive-In to encourage participation in this weeklong event.

Children ages 5-13 whobring in a grocery bag full of items, such as gently used clothing, that they’ve collected from family, friends and neighbors to donate to Goodwill will receive one admission pass to the American Museum of Science and Energy and a coupon card from their local Sonic.

The proceeds from the sales of the donated clothing go toward Goodwill and its efforts to provide vocational services and employment opportunities to individuals with barriers to employment, such as lack of transportation or a disability.
