Clinch-Powell Library Board meeting April 26
The Clinch-Powell Regional Library Board will meet on Tuesday, April 26, 5:30 pm, at the Clinton Shoney’s (I-75, exit 122).

An optional dinner is at 5:00 pm. The Clinch-Powell Regional Library serves public libraries in Anderson, Campbell, Claiborne, Morgan, Scott and Union counties.

RAM Clinic April 30 - May 1
First Baptist Church of Clinton will be sponsoring the Anderson County Remote Area Medical Expedition on April 30-May 1.

The mission of the clinic is to serve those in need of vision, dental, and medical services. the Anderson County Remote Area Medical Clinic will be a FREE medical clinic supported by volunteers and donations.

The clinic will provide the following FREE services to patients:

1. MEDICAL - General medical support; Diabetes testing; Mammograms; Vascular testing.

2. VISION - Vision testing and diagnoses will be offered; glasses will be prescribed and made on-site at the clinic as time and supplies permit.

3. DENTAL - Extractions; fillings; and cleaning and general oral hygiene services will be provided (patients will choose one of these dental services).

Services will be provided to patients on a “FIRST-COME/FIRST-SERVED” BASIS. No one can be GUARANTEED service at the clinic. “Patients may begin arriving on Friday evening to establish their place in line”, explains Mark Alderson, AC RAM Clinic Triage Committee Chair.

The parking lot will be open to patients beginning at 12 midnight each evening before the clinic.

Volunteers from the Tennessee State Guard will direct parking; patients will be able to wait in their cars until the clinic opens.

At approximately 3 a.m. on Saturday AND Sunday mornings, numbers will be given out to waiting patients. Beginning at 6:00 AM patients will be called by number to enter the Registration Area. RAM volunteers, incuding Anderson County host committee members, will be handling all patient registration procedures, distribution of numbers, and provision of services.

“This is the same process followed by all RAM clinics,” explains Alderson.

Patients interested in attending the clinic should line-up at the First Baptist Church in Clinton, located at 225 North Main Street, Clinton, Tenn., 37716.

Parking for patients will be in the large city parking lot located next door to the church.

“Patient parking will be clearly marked with signs,” explains Scott Page, AC RAM Clinic Transportation Committee Chair.

The Anderson County Chamber of Commerce Community Development, Government Relations Council will host a “Meet Your Legislators”

Forum. Join us in welcoming Senator Randy McNally and State Representative John Ragan on Monday, April 18, 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. at the Clinton Community Center, 101 S. Hicks St., Clinton.
