MLK Prayer Breakfast set Jan. 17
The Green McAdoo Cultural Organization will host its Fifth Annual MLK Prayer Breakfast on Monday, Jan. 17, 2011, at the Green McAdoo Recreation Center.
The program will start at 9 a.m. with a continental breakfast being served beginning at 8:30 a.m.
The theme, “A Day On, Not a Day Off,” will culminate with volunteers cleaning up the African-American burial sites at Sunset Cemetery.

Look Good, Feel Better program set for Jan. 17
There will be a Look Good, Feel Better session at Clinton Physical Therapy Center at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 17.
This free program is open to women who are undergoing cancer treatments to teach them ways to help enhance their appearance and self-image during cancer treatment, as well as skin care and beauty techniques.
The sessions are led by licensed cosmetologist, Robin Martin.
Persons interested in attending should register through the American Cancer Society office in Knoxville at 584-1668 or call Kelly Lenz at Clinton Physical Therapy Center at 457-1649.
