Election commission meets Saturday
The Anderson County Election Commission will hold a called meeting at 5 p.m. Saturday to discuss the juvenile court race, which ended in a tie Thursday, and the two provisional ballots.

Mark Stephens, election administrator, said Friday afternoon he was “not at liberty to say” whether or not the provisional ballots would be accepted and counted.

That topic will be discussed at the Saturday meeting, he said.

Juvenile Court Judge Brandon Fisher and challenger Zach Farrar tied in the contest, 6,442 each. A third candidate, Phil Harber, received 533 votes, despite publicly withdrawing and supporting Farrar.

The election commission is in room 207 of the Anderson County Courthouse.
